SAGE House is an autonomous space specifically for Black Trans and Gender Nonconforming (TGNC) individuals, fiscally sponsored and incubated by SAGA. SAGA is southern Arizona's oldest TGNC organization, founded in 1998. In partnership with MOCA Tucson, we are able to provide the first live/workspace for Black TGNC individuals in Tucson! SAGE House is built on the understanding that Black TGNC individuals and artists are the leaders of global change movements. It is a monumental privilege to be among the first institutional Black TGNC Artist Residency programs in the U.S. We believe SAGE House Artists will leave an indelible mark on the history of Black TGNC artists.
